What do you do when you happen to ride your bike to the grocery store and buy an item too large for your rack?
You harness the power of all those years of watching TV in the 80’s. You are in Fred Meyer’s super grocery. You can get anything there.
WHAT WOULD MACGYVER DO?
He would go to the bath section of the store, find a random basket. Then go to the hardware section and get some zip ties. Then head to the beer isle and test fitting a case of Deschutes Chainbreaker in that basket. Purchase those items and build this super rack while at the store.
Ride home young man with a smile on your face knowing you just elevated your bike commute game to the next level.

This weeks beer choice.
Bridgeport’s Dark Rain.
I’ve been digging black pale ales lately and have been wanting to try this one. It is pretty good, like the HUB Succession I am surprised how smooth it is.
My beer pick this week.
My weekend project*, it was on-sale and I liked the design. I am a sucker.
After a couple, it would make a good camping beer, maybe food beer for boiling brats in, or making beer cheese soup.
*it will take me more than the weekend to get through this.
Tonight’s beer of choice. Ninkasi Oatis Oatmeal Stout.
My ‘Official’ Deschutes Brewery sponsorship package came in the mail today! Woot Woot!
Some warm woolly socks, a beer opener, and a decal that will be going on the next bike I buy. This all came about when I fell in love with their beer after first moving to Oregon. I am pretty sure I have tried most if not all their products since then and have yet to have a ‘bad’ beer. That really says a lot about a beer company. Their consistent quality of production keeps me coming back.
Thank you Deschutes, for making my day.
Jeremy
You would think I am sponsored by Deschutes Brewery with the amount of bottles on my back porch.
No. We have a return incentive here in Oregon. .05$/bottle goes towards my next purchase. I like to save them up and get my next case for free or 1/2 price.
